This form is meant to form a consensus around you, as a vendor in respects to the aspects of the event that you are involved with.
With that being said, I want to first emphasize things that are not within our control. We want to hear about these topics but please understand that these topics about to be mentioned, we did not have any say or negotiating power, over them.
Security:
Security was contracted by the GCCC. We were not allowed to submit any groups, approve any groups or have a say on how they operated. The most we could do at this venue is say how many and where the badge check in was. This includes third party security and CPD. We are aware of the lack of presence on Fri/Sat with CPD and the sleeping guards throughout the venue. We are also aware of the altercation with theft and the lack of response from security personnel. All of this will be addressed and if you have more to add to the conversation. Please let us know.
Parking:
We were not afforded the option to negotiate parking rates. The GCCC consider parking income a high priority and are very unlikely to ever give discounted rates despite it negatively impacting events held at the facility.
Loading / Unloading:
We were forced into hiring a dock guard. We are aware that the dock issue was a cluster, and we believe it to be a mixture of mismanagement by the dock guards and vendors not following the marshal guides they were trying to enforce.
Please do not utilize this survey to vent, do understand that there are many aspects to the event that are back of house and not public knowledge and contribute to many of our actions. Please also understand every year we do our absolute best to represent you and to promote our vendor hall and to establish ourselves as a shopping destination. Constructive criticism is what we hope for. Keep it professional.
This survey will remain anonymous unless you choose to identify at the end. This survey will not hurt your chances of returning as a vendor. What may impede you returning as a vendor is if you were selling items on our banned list, openly bashing the event or our patrons or by falsely listing yourself as a video game vendor with no intent to sell video games.
